Hi beauties,
today I'm reviewing Dior's skin nude air luminizer and Benefit's watt's up cream highlighter. What can I say? They both blew me away! The sparkle, the finish, the colour- they're must haves in everyone's makeup collection.
I have chosen to review one powder and one cream highlighter as I know most people have their preferences, if not, enjoy using both together ;D.
Benefit's Watt's up:
This gorgeous champagne glow will give you a delicate, natural looking luminescence. I have had compliment after compliment every time I wear this highlighter from friends and from strangers which is a huge positive! The highlighter comes in stick form with the highlight on one end and a smooth applicator on the other.
Benefit's Key Claims:
- Luminous sheen
- Soft- focus look
-can be worn with makeup or on its own
I can agree with all these claims that Benefit have made, there is definitely a luminous sheen which looks incredible when natural light hits your face. Applying to the high points of the cheek, brow bone and cupids bow gives a healthy and dewy look. I prefer to use the watt's up stick over my makeup to pull the whole look together, however have used it on its own and still love the glow it gives me. The application is so easy and just glides on effortlessly- perfect for those early morning rushes or date nights out. I cannot recommend this highlighter enough! Retailing at £24.50, on the pricey side however worth every penny!
DiorSkin nude air luminizer:
This is another beautiful highlighter that I can't get enough of! Dior really is the definition of luxury! The silver compact is stunning and comes with a mini kabuki brush. I often use my finger to apply rather than the brush but either way application is super easy!
The glow is healthy and gives the appearance of radiance, and lets face it who doesn't need a few more hours of sleep in powder form!! It's probably the most expensive highlighter I have ever purchased, retailing at £36.00!
Dior's Key Claims:
-lightweight
-gives a radiant glow
-let's the skin breathe
-pollution fighting shield limiting absorption of harmful particles
I can agree with the top 3 key claims the highlighter definitely feels lightweight and gives you a radiant glow. It never feels heavy or cakey on the skin either. I cannot agree nor disagree with the fourth claim as there is no way of me testing whether the highlighter shields the skin.
All in all I absolutely love both highlighters on there own and also as a glowy combo! If I had to choose my favourite out of the two I would go for Benefit's watt's up as it is less pricey and gets me the most compliments!
I hope you found this helpful, feel free to leave any comments and suggestions for new posts!
